Welcome to the RRPictureArchives.NET contributor site of John Schumann.
OK, here's the breakdown. I'm a 40-something nerd, married, kid, house in the burbs, family truckster, all the cliches. I don't railfan much anymore, something about lack of time. I started shooting in 1980 when I was 13 (you can do the math from there), with a Nikon EM (that's a film camera for you born in the digital age types).
Somewhere along the line, I had a bout with geezer nostalgia, and realized that most of the stuff I shot way back when was all gone, most to the Great Nucor Furnace in the sky. The railroads are gone, the ways are gone, etc etc etc. So, my page here is mostly dedicated to all the obscure and long gone crap I shot over the years. Some of it doesn't meet my current specifications, but that's life in the railfan lane.
Feel free to contact me, as long as it isn't about some trivial garbage like "Ohh, I think this unit is really an RS3u, not an RS3, ain't you stupid for not getting that". Enjoy my stuff, I'll post more as I get it digitized.
You may browse my collection of pictures via the menu located on the left hand side of the page. I hope you enjoy the collection and thanks for stopping by!
